Excellent blog - I bow before your palate
The light being shed on this Umami business (I just found out about it this morning actually - and the same article is on your blog, funny how it works like that sometimes) is fascinating, though my silliac-diseased intestines may say differently.
What are some of the New York restaurants you're interested in? If you would like, I can go and sample their delights and you can live vicariously through my experiences for the time being. (okay, it's really just a cover - I'm in dire need of some good date spots)
I'll be checking back frequently man, great idea - keep it going.
